Meet our leadership team
Meet the executive team leading JA's commitment to innovation, quality, and customer service in the envelope manufacturing industry.

Jon Anderson
CEO
952.496.6643
After graduating from Bethel University with a degree in Business, Jon Anderson landed his first career job as a sales rep at Victory Envelope. (Yes, he’s been in envelopes long enough to remember when “snail mail” was just called “mail.”) After 5 years there, he became one of the founders of JA, starting the company in 1983 with his business partner, Neil Johnson. Starting as Vice President, Jon took over executive leadership as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2014 when the business was sold to Jerry Mahoney. His current role is Chief Executive Officer—a title he jokes mostly means “Chief Email Opener.” Under Jon’s leadership, along with a top-level executive team and Mahoney’s continued investment, Johnson Anderson has continued to grow. Jon spends most of his time drawing on his 45 years in the industry, sharing his knowledge with others, and—as he likes to say—“staying out of the way of those who are smarter than me.” “People buy from people they like, and people work for people they like. I enjoy people and have always tried to build a strong culture that treats our employees with fairness and respect.” Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife of 43 years, their two adult children, and grandchildren. He’s also an outdoor enthusiast who can be found golfing, fishing, or traveling—though he admits that fish don’t always enjoy his company as much as he enjoys theirs. He remains active in his local church and continues to believe that good business, like good golf, is all about keeping your head down and following through.

Amanda Strausborger
Chief Financial Officer
952.496.6642
Amanda keeps our numbers in line and our budgets in check—while somehow still managing to make Excel look fun. With a calculator in one hand and a coffee in the other, she navigates audits, forecasts, and financial reports like a boss (because she is one). When she’s not analyzing margins or explaining to the ops team (again) that “no, the budget doesn’t grow on trees,” she’s busy optimizing processes, slashing costs, and subtly reminding everyone that profit is not a dirty word. Amanda is the glue holding the numbers together—sometimes literally, depending on the envelope run that day. With a sixth sense for spreadsheets and a deep passion for keeping things sealed, stamped, and solvent, she ensures the company’s financials are as secure as a confidential mailer. Known to “push the envelope” on financial efficiency—but never on ethics—Amanda brings both sharp analysis and dry wit to the boardroom. Whether it’s managing cash flow or politely explaining to the sales team that “free shipping” isn’t a growth strategy, she keeps the bottom line tighter than a self-seal flap. Outside the factory floor, you might find her binge-reading tax updates for fun (yes, really), plotting her next vacation that she’ll budget down to the penny, or giving sarcastic financial advice to friends who still think Venmo is a retirement plan. Outside of work, she enjoys reminding her kids that an envelope isn't just an email attachment and resisting the urge to color-code her personal budget (though she probably already has).
Matt Braun
Chief Operating Officer
952.496.6660
After 22 years in the envelope industry, Matt has seen it all from double folds, flap malfunctions, and enough paper cuts to qualify as a paper-based first responder. As COO of JA, he keeps operations running tighter than a #10 security seal, ensuring every envelope leaves the building faster than a soccer ball off a corner kick. When he’s not untangling supply chain mysteries or gently reminding people that yes, envelope sizes do matter, Matt can be found coaching youth soccer, chasing fish that may or may not be real, or wandering the woods in camo, contemplating how to streamline inventory systems in complete silence. Known for balancing precision with personality, Matt brings leadership, grit, and a deep, unshakable belief that there truly is a perfect envelope for every occasion. Fun facts about Matt Favorite tool: A perfectly sharpened pencil. Least favorite: Anyone who says, “just go paperless.” Spirit animal: A well-aligned window envelope—transparent, efficient, and always on target.
